| 03/10/2008 - I expected more from a TPC course.....too many houses on the course, and if you hit the ball long off the tee, don't dare play the white tees. The pace of play in the morning was horrible....5 hour round. Then reloaded on a whim and played 18 more from the blue tees and did it in 3.5 hours....and shot 12 strokes better. I would try one of the other TPC courses in/around Tampa before i'd play here again, but I would definitely give it another go at some point. Not a bad track, but i was definitely expecting more. | 10/23/2007 - I've played a few TPC courses and this was fairly typical of their overall layout, difficulty. Nothing ultra-special. The TPC of Tampa Bay is the annual host of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-am, a Champions Tour event. Designed by architect Bobby Weed and PGA Tour Design Services, this track is "stadium golf" at its best with man-made mounds bordering most fairways and greens. The course is perfectly maintained from tee to green and features dramatically undulating greens and water on 14 holes. The TPC facility also features a magnificent 12,000-sq-ft clubhouse overlooking the exhilarating finishing hole. Located just 25 minutes north of Tampa airport area, the TPC is a great choice for your day of departure. "Play where the TOUR plays!"
