Amelia River Golf Club boasts fast rolling TifEagle greens, and is routed through a forest of majestic live oaks, sabal palms, pines and wax myrtles. This par-72 track, designed by Tom Jackson consists of 18 challenging holes of golf where distance control and accuracy are necessary to score well. The course is always in immaculate playing condition with well-manicured rolling fairways, smooth bunkers and greens that challenge all skill levels. Some have characterized Amelia River Golf Club as a traditional Scottish links course, but we think it has a distinctiveness that all golfers who play it will definitely appreciate.

Winding along a coastal Atlantic dune ridge, Ocean Link's #4, #5, #6, #15 and #16 provide golfers with five oceanfront golf holes. The fairways and greens are parallel to the beaches of Amelia Island and meander through a unique coastal maritime hammock. This close proximity to the ocean and the ever changing seabreeze provide the golfer with exhilarating views and intriguing play. Ocean Links has ten holes that feature lagoons and marsh wetlands in addition to concluding with a par three whose green is strategically placed in the waters of Red Maple Lake. The golf course winds through six miles of the natural sand dunes and seaside terrain. It can be said that this is as much a nature tour as it is a round of golf. The course yardage of 6,300 yards is somewhat deceiving since small greens, narrow fairways and prevailing winds make the course play much longer. At par 70, this eighteen hole course provides a challenge to all golfer levels.

Known as "The Wild One," Cimarrone weaves its way around 17 lakes, creating a series of beautiful scenic views while challenging your game. The David Postlethwait design features rolling fairways, contoured greens, and five sets of elevated tees. Always meticulously maintained, this dynamic layout will provide a memorable, demanding, and enjoyable day of golf. Cimarrone also features a terrific clubhouse with a stocked pro shop and a popular restaurant. The course is an easy 15-minute drive south of Baymeadows, just minutes off I-95.

Designed by award-winning architect Clyde Johnston, Eagle Harbor has been considered one of Jacksonville's finest layouts since opening in 1993. The semi-private course was skillfully carved from a forest of 60-foot pines and provides an exciting and challenging round of golf. Always in good condition, the layout features multi-tiered greens, rolling fairways, and a variety of sand and grass bunkers. The club also features a state-of-the-art practice facility with a unique island putting green. Located just 20 minutes from the Baymeadows area.

The Golf Club at South Hampton is another great Mark McCumber design found in the Jacksonville area. The course features 16 large lakes and over sixty contoured bunkers surrounded by acres of tall pines and native oaks. The designer's intent is to present every golfer the appropriate risk, offering encouragement to the novice while still challenging the experienced player. All players will have to watch out for the 571-yard 17th, a brutal five par that is definitely one of the toughest holes in the area.

Gary Player Design renovated this course in 2005 to maintain Mr. Player's original concept of favoring strategy, club selection, and shot placement, and took great steps to incorporate new features that will reward rather than penalize players for the average shot. The course is routed through dense woodlands, lakes, and protected wetlands. Always kept in impeccable shape, this picturesque layout is considered one of the top and toughest courses in the area! Located over an hour northeast of Orlando and 30 minutes north of Daytona.

Every club in your bag is needed at The Grand Club's Pine Course, the longest of the four original courses at Palm Coast. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay created a shotmaking challenge with tree-lined rolling fairways and well-trapped greens. In addition, there's water on 10 holes to add to the difficulty. Take your group back to the tips and the challenge will be all they can handle. The club, now managed by the Hampton Golf Group, underwent major renovations in 2006 and is always kept in premium condition.

The Conservatory Golf Course at Hammock Beach Resort, a Tom Watson Signature design, offers 140 acres of dramatic elevations and undulating greens not commonly found in Florida. In fact, the Conservatory has the highest slope rating in Florida! With six tee boxes per hole, the Conservatory promises an exciting challenge for all levels of play, and when played from the back tees there is no longer course in the state. Highlighted by man-made waterfalls, babbling brooks and veneered field stone work, the Conservatory offers as much for the senses as it does for the game.

Open since December 2000, Hammock Beach Resort's Ocean Course by Jack Nicklaus is set amidst dunes and natural landscape and features more ocean play than any other course on the state's east coast. Six holes overlook the ocean, including the incredible 468-yard, par-4 finishing hole. Birdie here (and sometimes par) will always win you a skin! Lakes, dunes, forested terrain, and five different tee options add to the challenge. No matter what part of Florida you plan on visiting, make sure you stop for at least one night at Hammock Beach to play the Ocean Course along the way. It's that good!

Hidden Hills is a private country club unsurpassed in natural beauty. Founded in 1966 and completely redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1988. Hidden Hills is a unique championship course with rolling hills, stately oaks and towering pines. Just 20 minutes from downtown Jacksonville in secluded Fort Caroline. Hidden Hills Country Club played host to the Greater Jacksonville Open-the forerunner of today's THE PLAYERS Championship (TPC).

With a reputation for being one of North Florida's most challenging layouts, this Arnold Palmer signature course measures 6,892 yards from the championship tees and 5,016 from the red tees. Hidden Hills is a challenge to golfers of all levels through its length, elevated tees, greens, natural hazards and tree lined fairways, which demand proper shot placement.

Set among tidal inlets and pristine salt marshes this magnificently groomed links-style masterpiece features fairways framed by stately pine trees. Generous landing areas and strategic mounding make this a playable, yet challenging and exhilarating course! Golf Digest considers it a "must-play if you are within one hundred miles." Designed by Mark McCumber, this well-maintained course features Tifdwarf greens and rolling Bermuda fairways. Osprey Cove is just a half-hour's drive north of downtown Jacksonville.

The second course at the TPC at Sawgrass was originally built for the Senior Tour and finished in 1987. Lateral water hazards are common with water coming into play on 14 holes, yet there are no forced carries over water. Other trademarks of this Bobby Weed/Pete Dye design include rolling hills and large sweeping greens making club selection very important. Player consultant, Jerry Pate, also had a large influence on the Valley's design.

Arguably the most scenic course available through the Marriott at Sawgrass, Marsh Landing's layout meanders through the tidal ecosystems of the Intercoastal Waterway. The fairways frequently give way to natural wetlands and the greens are guarded by palms and well placed bunkers. Several holes require superb shot-making as you are required to carry marshlands off the tee and from tee to green. This private club was designed by Arnold Palmer's design partner, Ed Seay. Of all the great courses in Northeast Florida, Marsh Landing certainly holds its own as one of the best!

Regarded as Pete Dye's masterpiece, THE PLAYERS Stadium Course has become the crown jewel of the courses played on the PGA TOUR. Before the course came along in 1980, few golf courses that hosted major golf events were accessible to the general public. Now there are some 21 TPC Courses available to the public in the U.S. Many golfers remember that the layout was very controversial when it first opened because it was so difficult. However, Dye listened and made changes to soften the course and make it "more fair." Through the years, there is no question that it has become one of the most popular courses with the Players. Huge mounds bordering the fairways provide an amphitheater type of setting making players feel like they are on center stage. You'll feel that way too, especially as you attempt to keep on dry land on the infamous 17th island green.

Sawgrass Country Club features 27 holes of championship golf designed by Ed Seay, Arnold Palmer's design partner. Consistently ranked in the top 100 courses to play by Golf Digest, the Oceanside Course (East-West nines) was the original home to the Tournament Players Championship from 1977 to 1981. Since then, the South nine has been added to complete the facility. Do not miss an opportunity to play Sawgrass while staying at the Marriott, it's a great, great golf club.
