Demanding for pros yet fun for all players, Bardmoor epitomizes Florida golf at its finest. Pristinely manicured, the course features TifEagle greens that rival tour status. State-of-the-art practice facilities, an award-winning golf shop, and outstanding service complete your experience. PGA Tour winner Gary Koch completed renovations in 2001 and his mastery is still paying dividends. In fact, in our opinion Bardmoor has never looked better. The club is located southwest of Tampa in the town of Largo (near St. Petersburg).

As the centerpiece of a gated community, The Bayou Club is a classic Tom Fazio design. Fazio's genius is most evident on the back-to-back par 5's on the front side and back-to-back par 3's on the back. You'll surely be wowed by the entire layout, but the killer 216-yard 16th hole is something extra special. With 419 Bermuda fairways and Tifdwarf greens, you'll also be wowed by course conditions. If that's not enough, the 32,000-sq-ft clubhouse will certainly put you over the top with full-service dining, fitness facilities, swimming and much more!

Ranked #18 by Golfweek's Best Courses To Play in Florida 2008, this exciting links-style course called for all of architect Steve Smyers' years of skill and ability in course design. The goal: to build a challenging test of golf, a pleasurable experience for all skill levels, a stern challenge for long hitters. As a reclaimed phosphate mine with stands of native oaks, the original terrain was flat. The topography now features undulating fairways (six connected by winding bridges) and multi-tiered tees and greens, many surrounded by well- placed bunkers. The flow of the land around the greens was carried onto the putting surfaces, resulting in slopes, ridges, and numerous potential hole locations. BridgeWater requires 'strategy' to play skillfully and rewards classic shotmaking with an extra risk/reward approach. In Lakeland, just off I-4 between Kissimmee and Tampa. Added-value: Unlimited Golf per availability YEAR-ROUND and complimentary range balls included.

Course designer Scott Pate, of Seaside Golf Development, has done wonderful work on the new course at Hernando Oaks. The layout wanders through beautiful Florida countryside and was designed with a sense of fairness in mind. The fairways tend to be wide and forgiving, but there's just the right amount of water to keep your attention. Your score will be determined mostly on how well you handle the elevated and undulating greens. You'll find Hernando Oaks about 45 minutes north of Tampa in the town of Brooksville.

The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook is considered one of the best resort courses in the country (as rated by Golf Digest) and is host to The Transitions Championship, a PGA Tour event. The par-71 course plays over 7,350 yards from the back tournament tees and is a very stern test of golf with terrific greens. The course is best characterized by its tree-lined fairways and rolling natural setting. It's actually more reminiscent of a Carolina layout than its location on Florida's West Coast. Play where the pros play.
"Copperhead is the best course we play on TOUR." — Paul Azinger, 2008 US Ryder Cup Captain

|
One of Innisbrook's four championship courses, the Island Course, was the first to open for play in December of 1970, and still offers Innisbrook's most diverse golfing challenge. Just slightly shorter in length than the famed Copperhead, the Island unfolds into 18 truly unique holes. The varying terrain, coupled with a variety of tee placements, can challenge both the professional player as well as the weekend golfer. The Island's first six holes are dominated by lateral water hazards and fairly level terrain which require pin point accuracy on both tee shots and approaches. The middle six holes feature rolling hills dominated by cypress and pine trees. The final six boast a mixture of holes designed to reward the bold yet penalize the errant golf shot. Finally, the layout winds down to an 18th hole that will test the nerves of even the most steady. What a golf course!

|
|
This beautiful 18-hole layout has tight fairways and well-bunkered greens, placing a costly premium on accuracy from tee to green. Wildlife abounds here, as it does on all of Innisbrook's courses, and includes several families of Red-Tail Hawks on the back nine, many Ospreys on the lakes around holes 3 through 7, and several alligators!
|
|
|
Innisbrook's South Course features many a great selection of holes. Among its many challenges is the 210-yard, par-3 9th hole, featuring a very difficult-to-hit island green. The 6,620-yard course offers abundant water and other hazards of differing forms including well-bunkered greens and waste areas reminiscent of Pinehurst.

The new North course at Lake Jovita is a tremendous compliment to the original South course. This great new track captures the essence of the fabulous South course in every aspect, and even boasts greater elevation changes, divergent of traditional Florida courses. In fact, on a clear day players can see for nearly five miles to the northeast from the second tee! The new North course is perhaps more fashionable, plays a little longer, and is as popular with club members as the South course. For anyone visiting the greater Tampa Bay area there are now two “must plays” in one convenient location!
Lake Jovita offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as daily tee times to the public. Visitors can stay at privately owned three-bedroom, two-bath club villas overlooking the 18th green.

Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, surrounded by rolling hills, is one of Florida's "must-play" venues. Located 30 minutes north of Tampa and only 70 miles from Orlando attractions, the original South course was rated by Golf Digest as one of the "Top 10 New Upscale Courses" in the United States.
The club features two outstanding courses spread out over some of Florida's most unusual terrain. In fact, the 559-yard, par-five 11th hole on the South Course features a 94-foot elevation drop from tee to green — the largest natural elevation change on any course in the state.
Lake Jovita offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as daily tee times to the public. Visitors can stay at privately owned three-bedroom, two-bath club villas overlooking the 18th green.

Thirty minutes northwest of Tampa in Palm Harbor, you'll find one of the area's undiscovered gems. Bordered by stands of trees, this tight layout has no parallel fairways, making it an unusual design. With water on 16 holes, shotmaking and correct club selection are essential. Lansbrook has recently replaced the greens with smooth running Tifdwarf Bermuda and the course is maintained in absolutely perfect condition. For Masters' fans, hole #11 is reminiscent of #16 at Augusta National.

For an outstanding golf value, Northdale's classic 18-hole Ron Garl design stands firmly above the rest of Tampa Bay's favorite golf courses. Nestled in the heart of Tampa, Northdale Golf & Tennis Club is just minutes away from the airport, beaches, and major Bay Area attractions. This classic Florida-style layout has only two parallel fairways, which allow you to enjoy the view of the natural terrain. The always well-maintained course winds its way past Bushy Creek, a series of small lakes, and unspoiled wooded areas.

You'll find this David Harman design just north of Tampa. The links-style design includes ample greens, wide fairways, and elevated tees. Harman did a marvelous job with the framing and tee design of Plantation Palms. Great consideration was given to beginners and higher handicap players, while also providing a challenge for the accomplished player. A beautiful clubhouse offers great amenities including a fully stocked golf shop and a bar and grille with "the perfect bill of fare for the golfing public."

This beautifully manicured WCI course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel with wide fairways and greens that will accept only your best bump-and-run approach shots. The home nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area with water that comes into play on every hole. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. Finally, the TifEagle Bermuda greens are such a pleasure to putt they'll bring you back year after year.

Golfweek has named Southern Hills "One of the Top 50 New Courses in the United States" and "One of the Top 100 Residential Courses in the United States". Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club is a fantastic private track designed by legendary golf course architect Arthur Hills. The course is generally framed by thick forest and pristine lakes, and lends the feeling you are playing in a tropical nature preserve. Although the club rests within the Tampa Palms community, there are very few homes surrounding the golf course. The golf course requires precision shots from tee to green in order to score well, so be sure to play the proper set of tees for your handicap. For golfers wishing to challenge their ability, this is a definite "must play" course.
The TPC of Tampa Bay is the annual host of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-am, a Champions Tour event. Designed by architect Bobby Weed and PGA Tour Design Services, this track is "stadium golf" at its best with man-made mounds bordering most fairways and greens. The course is perfectly maintained from tee to green and features dramatically undulating greens and water on 14 holes. The TPC facility also features a magnificent 12,000-sq-ft clubhouse overlooking the exhilarating finishing hole. Located just 25 minutes north of Tampa airport area, the TPC is a great choice for your day of departure. "Play where the TOUR plays!"

Tight, tough, and immaculate: that's the reputation Westchase has earned. The front side offers a tree-lined Carolina look as it winds through an extensive pine forest. The back nine features water hazards galore, with numerous lakes and wetlands. You'll appreciate the newly renovated putting surfaces. Complementing the great layout is a newly renovated clubhouse with panoramic views of the course. Located near Tampa airport, Westchase is a "must-play" for first day, last day, or any day!

Intimidating. Enjoyable. These two words don't often go hand in hand, but they accurately describe the Pine Barrens course at World Woods. Ranked #26 on Golfweek's list of "America's Best Modern Courses for 2006," this Tom Fazio design has been receiving accolades since it opened in 1991. It's perennially ranked among the nation's top courses by Golf Digest and has been called "Florida's Pine Valley." The course features large fairways framed by expansive waste bunkers and towering pines (hence the comparisons to Pine Valley).

Although built right next door, the land occupied by Rolling Oaks provides a stark contrast to that at Pine Barrens. Here you'll find huge oak trees draped with Spanish moss within a landscape reminiscent of Augusta National (including Azaleas!). The course features beautiful rolling fairways and well-defined bunkers with bright white sand. Fazio's mindset must have been completely different when designing both courses, but the end results are nothing less than spectacular. Particularly enjoyable are the great par-three holes at Rolling Oaks.
