Hunter's Creek Golf Club ~ 6.1 miles
Considered one of Lloyd Clifton's finest designs, Hunter's Creek was the first course in Florida at over 7400 yards in length, the longest then in the state (now at 7268 yards). This dynamic, scenic layout has a natural "Carolina Pines" setting and features tight, gently rolling fairways; an abundance of bunkers and berms; large, undulating TifEagle greens; and water hazards on 13 holes. The completely remodeled clubhouse features a full-service bar and restaurant with surrounding TV's for sporting events. Rated #37 nationally in 1990 by Golf Digest as a "Top 75 Golf Courses To Play." ...

Shot positioning is crucial as water and/or wetlands can be found on 16 holes; however, the fairways had been widened in 2004 to create more fair and forgiving landing areas. The front nine is not encumbered by homes, but water features do abound. The back nine plays through a more residential area, offering more generous fairways. A beautiful southern-style clubhouse is an additional amenity. Locate...
