Hernando Oaks Golf Club ~ 12.12 miles

Course designer Scott Pate, of Seaside Golf Development, has done wonderful work on the new course at Hernando Oaks. The layout wanders through beautiful Florida countryside and was designed with a sense of fairness in mind. The fairways tend to be wide and forgiving, but there's just the right amount of water to keep your attention. Your score will be determined mostly on how well you handle the elevated and undulating greens. You'll find Hernando Oaks about 45 minutes north of Tampa in the town of Brooksville.

Silverthorn Country Club ~ 15.88 miles

Here's a typical Joe Lee design that's always a treat to play. This 6800-yard layout is exceptional; the front nine gets you off to a great start with wide-open, generous fairways. The back nine is a memorable journey through majestic woodlands. This upscale facility offers a phenomenal golf value with a private club atmosphere and a very unique clubhouse. World Woods Golf Club - Pine Barrens ~ 18.75 miles

Intimidating. Enjoyable. These two words don't often go hand in hand, but they accurately describe the Pine Barrens course at World Woods. Ranked #26 on Golfweek's list of "America's Best Modern Courses for 2006," this Tom Fazio design has been receiving accolades since it opened in 1991. It's perennially ranked among the nation's top courses by Golf Digest and has been called "Florida's Pine Valley." The course features large fairways framed by expansive waste bunkers and towering pines (hence the comparisons to Pine Valley)....

World Woods Golf Club - Rolling Oaks ~ 18.75 miles

Although built right next door, the land occupied by Rolling Oaks provides a stark contrast to that at Pine Barrens. Here you'll find huge oak trees draped with Spanish moss within a landscape reminiscent of Augusta National (including Azaleas!). The course features beautiful rolling fairways and well-defined bunkers with bright white sand. Fazio's mindset must have been completely different when designing both courses, but the end results are nothing less than spectacular. Particularly enjoyable are the great par-three holes at Rolling Oaks....
